The VE program is part of the policy to address educational disadvantages. The goal is to better prepare toddlers with a potential developmental delay, also known as "target group children," for primary school.
This is achieved through the VVE "Startblokken" program, which stimulates children's development through targeted, playful activities. The primary aim is to prepare toddlers with a potential (language) delay for the transition to primary school.
We use the childcare app "Kidsadmin." With this app, you can follow daily updates about what is happening at the childcare center. For example, you will receive photos of your child during activities, outings, or birthday celebrations throughout the day. You can also use this app to report vacations, notify us if your child is sick, and handle other practical matters.
At the end of the day, you will receive a notification with a log of the day's activities.
From a young age, your child can enjoy both childcare and primary school at one location. We are childcentrum Wilderen, serving children from 0 to 13 years old. Together with primary school de Wilderen, we ensure a smooth transition from childcare to primary school and to BSO.
Preschool care is group care for children aged 4 to 13 years (from group 1 to group 8). If the school hours of primary school de Wilderen do not align with your working hours, you can drop off your child at the care center starting at 07:30.
We look after your child until the school day at the primary school begins. Students in the upper grades (from group 4) may walk to their classroom independently, while younger students in the lower grades are escorted to their classroom.
When your child starts at our location, an intake meeting will take place with the parent(s), during which we will get to know each other and you will be introduced to the pedagogical professionals who will be working with your child.
Approximately one month before your child starts with us, we will contact you to schedule the intake. For the intake meeting, you may come to our location with your child. The intake meeting lasts about half an hour.

Your child is not automatically enrolled in primary school or BSO when they turn 4. Once your child has started at the childcare center, you can make a pre-registration for primary school. Do not wait too long; register your child with the school at least by their 2nd birthday.
If you wish to use after-school care when your child starts school, you can fill in your details via the registration link on our webpage.
There is also a waiting list for after-school care. Once registered, you will receive confirmation from the planner that your child is on the list and that your care request is noted. When a spot becomes available for your child, the planner will contact you.
You can report your child sick safely and easily through the parent app Kidsadmin. If this is not possible, you can call the group phone.

Our lower primary BSO groups can accommodate up to 21 children per group aged 4 to 6 years, with two pedagogical professionals working in the group.

We work with themes that align with the children’s world of experience to engage them as much as possible with the topic. The themes are applied intensively in the groups for six weeks. We carry out targeted activities related to the current theme and set up play areas with materials that match the theme, allowing children to gain new knowledge through play.
Together with the children, we make the theme 'our own.' By doing this together, we connect our intentions with the meanings that the children give to the theme. This process is called thematizing.
